Field Trips

School Field Trips $10.00 per person

1 adult staff member per 10 students admitted free.

Parents and siblings accompanying students pay $10.00 each. (Does not include free pumpkin)

A major mission of Pumpkin Hollow since 1993 has been to educate children about farm life-about how pumpkins, animals, and other crops grow. We are amazed at how much information children “soak up” while they are having a wonderful day in our outdoor classroom.  This is a guided field trip, and students must stay with their group until the field trip is over.

Field trips include:  (School groups on weekdays only)

  • A visit to the gourd trellis to learn how pumpkins and gourds grow
  • Time in the big red Kids’ Barn with interactive educational activities
  • Visiting our farm animals
  • Feeding and petting animals including goats
  • A hayride up the hill for more fun activities
  • Story time or lesson on crops
  • Playtime in the Friendly Forest
  • Time to jump on the haystacks, climb Tire Mountain, and zoom down the pond slide
  • Picking a pumpkin (free small pumpkin for each paid student)
  • One free jack-o-lantern pumpkin per class (minimum group of 10)
